Turning a specialist service into a connected product

Equine Tendon needed more than a standalone app. Its Tendon Pro DSS Boot leasing model involves customers, horses, clinical information, rehabilitation schedules, devices and staff workflows. Managing those moving parts manually created avoidable administration and made it difficult to see the full customer and recovery journey in one place.

Keylumi designed a connected product made up of a cross-platform mobile application, an administration portal and a secure API layer. Together, these components support the operational workflow from first enquiry through onboarding, leasing and rehabilitation monitoring.

The product we delivered

Mobile experience

The Flutter application gives clients, veterinarians and field representatives a focused interface for onboarding, horse registration, device leasing, rehabilitation tracking, scheduling, document access and clinical image uploads. One codebase supports both iOS and Android while retaining a familiar mobile experience.

Operational control

The web portal gives staff a single place to manage leads, approve rehabilitation schedules, assign devices, monitor compliance and follow customer communication. Role-based access controls help keep clinical and operational information visible to the appropriate users.

Connected backend

REST APIs built with CodeIgniter manage authentication, clinical data, scheduling logic and communication features. Supabase, Google Cloud Platform and AWS S3 support structured data, hosting and file storage, while automation connects the product to accounting and communication workflows.

Engineering for real-world use

The most important design challenge was creating clear journeys for users with very different responsibilities. Keylumi mapped those roles before development, then validated permissions, payment flows, rehabilitation scheduling and data isolation through focused testing.

Deployment covered the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, alongside the hosted administration platform. The product continues to evolve through protocol customisation, operational feedback and ongoing integration improvements.

The outcome

Equine Tendon gained a shared digital foundation for clinical monitoring and device operations. Automated tracking and structured clinical input reduced administration, accelerated onboarding and gave the team real-time visibility across the service.
